Icelandic Photos Posted on April 25, 2013April 25, 2013 by pre Back in January Pre went on a trip Off to the frozen north: Iceland It was fun, beautiful, good times Here’s some photos The line between the American and European plates. Don’t fall in! Geezers are fun! Iceland needs snow. Otherwise it’s just concreteland like everywhere else. Lovely ice-encrusted church. Kitty on a balcony. They shot the last polar bear to get into the country. These get away with it coz they’re already stuffed. This is how you keep roads open when it snows. You hear that london? We made a snow man. It’s only small. Boing! It plays the same tune as the Big Ben tower. I wonder if the Icelandic have words to go along too. A big old fancy building dedicated to music. The Blue Lagoon. We bathed here for hours. It was soo nice. Looking out into the harbour. Swark! This little dude was well noisey. Lava-fields. That’s right. Fields of lava. Shots around the blue lagoon. Such a pretty pretty place. Grafitti at the skate park. Grafitti at the skate park. Is that a northen-light glow? Or a sodium-glare. Really was rather hard to tell. That green glow is the northern lights. Pre has no tripod so it’s all very blurry. Quaint. That’s the word. Quaint A bike gate. “We need gate!” somone must have said. “All I have is this bike and some green paint” “That’ll have to do” This is the very bit of ice the country is named after. It’s preserved, here by a lake side with massive refridgeration machines. Or I made that up. One or the other. Woosh! Geezers are fun! Geezers are fun! Geezers are fun! Frozen icy waterfall. Torrents. Lots of torrents. The water kind. Oh, it’s a big waterfall! Approaching a waterfall. This sky was goregeous. Only encanced a litte. Honest. Mountain peaks. Only mamals on Iceland were introduced by man. Including these horses. Mountains and horses. A relic from an ancient celtic era? Or a modern fake? Damned if I know. Graveyards eh? Crosses Volcanos! I like volcanos. Shame we didn’t get close to an active one. The church’s little barn. This dude wouldn’t get out of my shot. So I used him. Beautiful skies. Iceland has beautiful skies. It’s pretty much always dawn or dusk that time of year. Or dark. A church, which was pretty. Early morning. The early morning light, reflecting from the church window. Flat, but with bumps.
