Labour unions are being decimated by a union-bill voted on this week, the commons is voting to withdraw tax-credit from millions of poor UK households, our parliament is being asked to okay more bombs in Syria which is somehow supposed to create fewer refugees rather than more, and all our national newspapers lead on whether a man sung a song about an imaginary person saving an outdated undemocratic and racist institution.
And that is “patriotism”?
